Postponement of the Annual Men’s Health & Prostate Cancer Screening Event
In an effort to find and treat prostate cancer early in black men, each September, the Center for African-American Health has sponsored an annual public awareness campaign about prostate cancer and has worked with Inner City Health Center to provide free prostate cancer screenings. Last year, you were one of 122 men, mostly African American, who completed the prostate-specific antigen (PSA) blood test and the Digital Rectal Exam (DRE).
We regret to inform you that we are postponing the 2016 Men’s Health Prostate Cancer Screening Event. However, we will offer the prostate-specific antigen (PSA) blood test and the Digital Rectal Exam (DRE) test at our 2017 Annual Health Fair, which will take place March 11, 2017 at the Renaissance Hotel. Until then, we apologize for any inconvenience this may cause you.
Our next event will be in 2017
We continue to believe that a special day earmarked for men’s health is important and also understand that this is a day of men coming together for health, wellness, and good times. We encourage you to see your provider for a screening, if you are still in need of the tests before our Annual Collaborative Health Fair, please call us at (303) 355-3423 and we can help arrange for you to see a physician.
We appreciate your understanding and look forward to serving you.
